Deckhand Trash Co. ("Deckhand," "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect on deckhandtrash.com and in providing our service, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account and service details: your name, service address, phone number, email, where your carts are kept, access codes, notes you give us, and your pickup schedule.
• Payment details: your card is entered on Stripe's secure checkout and processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Service photos: we photograph your carts at each visit as proof of service. Photos show the carts and the curb or storage spot. We try to keep people, house numbers, vehicles, and the inside of your home out of frame.
• Sign-in: when you sign in to My account, we text a one-time code to your number and set one cookie to keep you signed in for 30 days. That cookie isn't used for advertising.
• Reservations and inquiries: details you send through our reserve-a-spot and property manager forms.
• Website usage: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and whether an address check or signup was completed. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How we use it

Access codes and notes are visible only to you and your Deckhand crew. We use your information only to provide, schedule, and bill for service, to contact you about your service, and to improve our website. We don't sell your information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with providers that help us run the business, such as our payment processor (Stripe), scheduling software, email and text messaging services, and website hosting, and only as needed for those services, or as the law requires. We never sell or share your phone number or text consent with third parties for their marketing.

Text messages

If you opt in to texts, we use your number only for service messages. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

How long we keep it

We keep only the photo from your most recent visit. When a new visit is logged, the previous photo is deleted from our system, unless it's part of an open damage claim. Photos we texted you stay on your phone. We keep account and billing records as long as you're a customer and as required for tax and accounting.

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information by emailing hello@deckhandtrash.com or calling (910) 239-4435.

Children

Our service is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We'll post any changes to this policy here with a new date.
